Delivering excellence in Christ-centered education to meet the spiritual, academic and social needs of its students

Ellen Storck

Storck_Mrs._251I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois and I am a member of  St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. I am a graduate of the LSA, class of 1964. I am married to Keith Storck and we were blessed with two children, Jared & Kara.  They both were married in 2006 and we have been blessed with 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. I enjoy golfing, socializing with friends and traveling when time permits.  I have taught grades K-5 since I was called to the LSA in 1972 and consider it a blessing to be part of the teaching staff.

I received my B.A. degree from Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, Illinois in 1972.  My first call was to the LSA, teaching 2nd grade. I have had the opportunity to also teach K, 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade since that time.  I am currently assigned to teach 3rd grade.

I believe that every child should be challenged to reach their highest potential.  As their teacher, I should be a role model for them and encourage them in positive ways.  I am called to meet their academic, physical, social, emotional, and most important of all, their spiritual needs.  God has called me to imitate Him and lead each child in my care toward that same goal. Our job as their spiritual leader is to teach them about Jesus and His saving love for us and then in turn they share that good news with those around them. God wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
