At Unity, your student will become a leader who can problem solve, innovate and collaborate.

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Our goal is to prepare each student as a leader for life who is ready to go impact the world for Jesus. Through the preparation they receive at Unity, we want our graduates to stand out in their careers, communities and Kingdom impact.

Creative and innovative learning approaches serve as hallmarks of our academic programs. We look forward to sharing new developments and our grade-level standards here shortly. In the meantime, here’s a short list of some of the many new developments:

  • New Chromebooks issued to 5-12th grade students

  • Newly infused science curriculum throughout the school

  • New one-on-one, in-school tutoring

  • New FFA chapter and expanded animal science and horticulture

In addition to a top quality academic experience, we want students to be equipped with real-life skills they carry with them wherever they go.

We’re here to partner with your family in your child’s education through regular communication and are committed to working collaboratively through any challenges that may arise.

HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMICS

We offer a wide variety of high school courses and electives, including Agriculture, Band, Choir, Forensic Science, Art, PE and Personal Finance. Students who are ready for more rigor can enroll in Honors courses.

We offer several Dual Credit courses through our partnership with Richland Community College and Concordia Wisconsin. Dual Credit courses are a great way for students to progress toward a college degree at a much more affordable price.

Our Guidance Counselor consistently tracks student progress, and works individually with each student to help them meet their future academic goals.

We partner with several local businesses and organizations to offer a Senior Internship Program. This program allows students to gain hands on experience at a local business or organization within a field of interest.

CULTURE

We place high value on the culture of our school and expect our students and families to uphold Christian Character while attending Unity. We believe all we do should bring glory to God.

We designed the new administrative position of Cultural Leader to help develop and uphold the expectations and culture we’re striving to create.

All of our policies reflect an approach of high-accountability and high-character, all while emphasizing grace and learning through mistakes and failures. All of our school policies can be found in the updated School Handbook.

CURRICULUM

Each grade level builds upon the one before, and prepares our students to achieve future success both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to core subjects, every Kindergarten through 6th student receives weekly PE, Music, Art and Library time.

Our teachers work with each student to meet their individual learning needs, and our resource department and reading specialists provide support to students needing more academic attention. Our Educational Leader and Team Leaders ensure that each teacher, classroom and student have the support they need to achieve their full potential.

We’re currently developing specific learning standards for each grade level, and will soon post a grade by grade list of these standards here.

"Strong academics are important to our family. But so is character, faith and real-life skills. My boys learn all of that and more here."
